- Roster/Membership - Current membership level is at 108 members. We’ve received our latest shipment of club clothing and there is a lot of great Capo accessories (i.e. gloves, arm warmers/skins, etc.) at the shops.
- Budget – As of 1/30/08 we have $3960 in the account. We’ve had zero expenses to date and our current sponsor contributions for 2008 that are still owed to the club total $9K. I’ve communicated with Craig Petersen and he’s talking with our sponsors and ownership on our behalf to obtain these funds.
- Points System – Still at the drawing board on this one… The original proposal was deemed too heavily focused on racing so we sacked the plan and have decided to start from scratch trying to find something that works for ALL of us. FORWARD SUGGESTIONS PLEASE (or you might get stuck with something you’re not happy with).
- High School Team – Patrick Buono was unable to attend the meeting. Patrick, please forward an update to the membership bringing all of us up-to-date on where you are with your efforts with LISD.
- Club Event – Adam Meister was unable to attend. Adam, Any news on an out of town trip?
- Club Forum & Website – Craig Petersen and I met with the owner of Synectics, Rich Miller on 2/4. Rich is co-owner of Synectics and they provide website and forum development, hosting and maintenance. His company provides web and forum support to several local cycling clubs and they host TXBRA’s website. He’s provided Infinity Cycling a comprehensive package including a standalone website (infinitycycling.org – proposed) and forum along with hosting. The total cost to Infinity for the custom built and branded website is $500, which includes our own forum utilizing MyBB (MyBB.com) software. Bicycles Plus has agreed to cover the monthly hosting fee for us. The website is under construction as we speak and will be live to all 3/1. The forum will be live for all to use 2/14 (happy V-day!). These tools will help all of our members communicate with each other and stay plugged in.
- MS150 – Team Infinity/Bicycles Plus – We discussed the possibilities of building a team to participate in the upcoming MS150 http://dallas.ms150.org/dallas/ . This is a great local event that raises money for a great cause. We need a Team Captain (no experience necessary) to help plan and lead training rides. Let me know if you’re interested in any capacity.
